We recently received news that my husband has 4th stage pancreatic cancer that has spread to his lungs. The doctor has given him 6 months to live. With his deteriorating health, we are not financially or emotionally prepared for him to be unemployed. Please help our family through this difficult time, as we navigate through his end of life journey. Any support donated will be used to ensure John's wishes of remaining comfortably in our home.
Background story...
September 1st, 2023
My husband came home two weekends with a very swollen belly, his only other symptom is he’s lost a lot of weight. A Sunday trip to urgent care, led to the ER and admitted to the hospital in ICU, moved to then the oncology ward. The fluid was drained, CT’s, biopsies but no definitive word of cancer, only to be released from the hospital as hypertensive. On Wednesday (8/30) we saw Dr. Bodine at University Cancer & Blood and was given the diagnosis. He has 4th stage pancreatic cancer that has spread to his lungs. He has decided against chemotherapy, the chemotherapy could shrink the tumors but will not change the stage maybe buy some time but he has chosen to live with the time he has left peacefully at home. As of now he’s not in pain, hopefully things will stay this way. This is an aggressive and fast moving cancer and he will not be long for this world. Please pray for our family, we have a rough road ahead.
Please share with your friends and loved ones. Any donation is greatly appreciated.
