John Nobile - Brain on Fire Disease

Dear Friends, Family, Church Family & the Kindhearted:

We are reaching out to you today with heavy hearts to share the story of our dear brother-in-law, John Nobile. John is the loving husband of our sister Lynn, the devoted father to their two children, Jessica and Jamie, and a faithful Christian servant. Since last October, John has been in and out of hospitals and short-term rehab facilities due to a rare and challenging long-term health condition called LGI1 Antibody Encephalitis (brain on fire disease).

LGI1 Antibody Encephalitis has caused a range of debilitating symptoms for John, including seizures, confusion, memory problems, and the inability to walk or take care of basic bodily functions. It has been an incredibly challenging journey for both John and Lynn. Lynn, a true warrior, has been tirelessly advocating for her husband, searching for answers, and ensuring he receives the necessary tests, medications, and therapies.

However, Lynn's fight doesn't stop here. As Lynn's insurance coverage for John's rehabilitation and short-term care is nearing its end, John will soon be sent home. However, his condition requires constant care, meaning Lynn cannot leave him unattended. This puts Lynn in a difficult position as she needs to continue working to provide the medical insurance John requires and to seek further outpatient solutions for his condition.

To ease this transition and provide the support Lynn desperately needs, we are reaching out to our community and beyond for financial help. Our immediate goal is to raise funds to assist Lynn with the cost of care while she is at work. We want to ensure that John is in the loving hands of a trusted caregiver and that Lynn can have peace of mind knowing he is safe and well taken care of.

In addition to assisting with immediate care needs, Lynn is in the process of applying for his retirement and exploring the possibility of long-term placement in a rehabilitation facility. Your contributions will also help alleviate the financial burden of medical expenses and assist in securing John's long-term care.

One immediate need - Lynn has is to pay for an ambulette every 3 weeks to transport John to get IVIG infusions which will take place at a clinic and take four hours. Each round trip will cost $170 out of pocket.

Our family appreciates every donation, big or small. Your generosity will make a significant impact on John and Lynn's lives, helping them navigate this challenging time and providing hope for John as his desire these past ten months is to be in his own home with his family.

Any amount will be greatly appreciated. If you are unable to contribute financially, we kindly ask for your support in spreading the word about John's fight and this fundraiser. Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of this loving family.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, support, and generosity.
