John Osborne (Papa)

Hi, this is the Osborne family and we’re fundraising for papa, John Osborne’s funeral transportation. Papa passed away on 12th September 2024 due to a short illness.

Sergeant John Osborne served for 22 years in The Royal Hussars Old Comrades during 1969 to 1992. He was very proud of his military service, and was very loved and respected by his other comrades.

Papa was a true family man who loved and adored his wife and family, and would do anything for anyone who needed love, care and support. As a family, we would really love to give our papa the send off he deserves. We are interested in getting a tank hearse, as we know he would be absolutely over the moon if he had this transportation as a proud old comrade.

It would mean so much to our papa and the family if we could arrange this, and ask to receive additional support. It will cost £5,000 in total for the tank hearse hire and haulage.

We understand times are really difficult at the moment, so anything as little as £1 to help contribute to the cost would honestly mean so much, and highly appreciated. Any funds left over after will be donated to John’s chosen charity, Royal British Legion.
