John Pickard Fights Cancer

Hi, my name is Zachary Pickard. I am raising funds to help my dad John Pickard pay for medical and medically related expenses. He was recently diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer.

His whole life, my dad has provided for his family through an unrivaled work ethic as a truck driver often working many long hours. He sacrificed himself and his time to give his four sons the best life he could. I remember that he would sometimes park his 18-wheeler in the outfield of our baseball games so that he could watch what he could. He even found times to coach some of our teams at times; Truly, he cared so much and wanted us to know that he was there for us always.

John Pickard loves to ride his motorcycle, watch the Pittsburgh Penguins, and spend time with family and friends.

Unfortunately, four weeks ago, they removed his kidney and spleen due to a very large tumor that was attached to them. Discharged, healing, and preparing for immunotherapy treatment, he became very sick again and was readmitted to the hospital. We are working on getting him his immunotherapy treatment and hopeful for positive results. We are hoping to take the burden of the hospital stay and treatment costs away from him, his wife Cindy, and his family. The funds will go directly toward paying any medical bills from the initial surgery, the current hospital stay, the immunotherapy treatment, and any subsequent medical costs incurred from his treatment.
