John Ravera recovery and care support fund
Background:
On March 20th, 2020, John Ravera was involved in a tragic motorcycle accident.
He was riding in Anzo Borrego Desert, had just come off a trail onto the the two lane highway, when a man in a Ford Escape was making an illegal U-turn (CHP later confirmed that John had the “right of way”) and John T-boned him. Luckily his friend that was riding with him was able to call 911 and he was sent in an ambulance to the small nearby airport to be Airlifted to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido.
Over the last few months, John has been and continues to be treated for a traumatic brain injury, suffered multiple infections, medical complications along the way.
Luckily, John is still with us, awake, and recovering at a hospital closer to home.
The reason and needs for the GoFundMe:
John will be released from the hospital this summer and will continue to have mobility and care needs and expenses. Immediate needs are to make that house accommodating for his wheelchair and Hoyer lift, add ramps and rails. Also the bathroom will need to be remodeled to accommodate for his needs. A nurse will also be to hired to help with his feeding tube, tracheotomy, etc.
