John Regan Memorial Fundraiser

Hi, My name is Mark Webber. I am launching a fund raising initiative to collect funds to purchase a Memorial Statue to honor John Regan for his many contributions to his community, the music industry and unwavering support he gave selflessly to everyone he met. The Statue will be placed in Mesier Park, Wappingers Falls, NY.

Please allow me to explain my mission. First and foremost, I want to be extremely clear and assure everyone that I have undertaken this project with the blessing of John's Family.

I have been a neighbor of John's for nearly 40 years in the Village of Wappingers Falls. John wasn't just a neighbor, but a dear friend. I considered John to be family. We spent countless hours together each week, typically over coffee, solving all the problems of the world. Since John's passing on Friday, April 7th, I have read countless stories of the special way John touched so many lives and the lasting memories that we all cherish. I couldn't let John's passing go by without a proper memorial recognizing his contributions to the Village of Wappingers Falls during his 20+ years as Park Commissioner. John also played a major role in retaining the Village of Wappingers Police Department when the then current leadership was taking steps to disband it. Whether it was through his amazing music career or his sense of civic duty, John stood up for what he believed in and was the best advocate you could ever ask for.

I attended the April Village of Wappingers Board Meeting and made the request to the Mayor, Mr. Kevin Huber, Village Clerk, Mr. John Karge and the Village Trustees. My request to erect a Memorial in Mesier Park was met with great support and I truly appreciate their acceptance of my proposal.

I know that John touched so many lives, so please join me and support our efforts to raise the necessary funds to make our goal a reality.
