John Sausedo

John Michael Sausedo, a seventh-step apprentice who would have journeyed out in December, tragically lost his life in a side-by-side accident on October 25, 2022. John started his career in the trade later in life after hearing stories of the brotherhood and being encouraged by his brother-in-law, Ernie Frank, also in the trade.

John’s journey started in North West’s apprenticeship and later on was indentured into CAL/NEV where he worked long and hard, dedicating his time to the craft. Unfortunately, this meant the past three and a half years he was often away from his family. On the road he was a “Dad” figure to many. He was always willing to lend a helping hand or even let other apprentices and Linemen stay in his RV, as we all know how it is when we start a new job.

John always put his family first. He got into the trade to provide the best life possible to his wife Suzanne of 18 years and three sons: Jacob (15), Joshua (12), and JJ (10). John was a loving husband, father, son, brother, Godfather, uncle, coach, and mentor. He was charismatic, with a smile and laugh that will not soon be forgotten. It is time for the brotherhood that was so influential to John joining the trade to “boom up” and rally together to provide the financial support, loving prayers, and strength for a brother’s family who is in need.
