John Joseph Smulders "Johnny Long Hair," age 50 of Coon Rapids, passed away unexpectedly on September 13, 2022.

John was a wonderful man who will be missed by all who knew him. He was a funny, giving, hardworking, family man who loved spending time with his family, especially his son Jamie. John proudly owned and operated 2 Cool 2 Heat, LLC based in Coon Rapids for 7 years. He was a true Minnesotan who loved cheering on the MN Vikings as well as the MN Wild, and enjoyed hunting, and fishing.

John was preceded in death by his father, Martin Smulders. He will be forever missed by his wife, Lori Smulders; son, Jamie (Abby) Smulders; mother, Emma Smulders; grandchildren, Peyton and Blake Smulders; brother, Perry (Aminah) Smulders; sister, Jennifer (Joe) Galante; niece Carmen Galante, nephew, Carter Galante; stepchildren, Richard, Rachelle, Paige, and Dylan; stepgrandchildren, Cash, Rylan, Maverick, Richard, Macias, Oryn, Mora, and Chase; many other loving family and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate John's life will be held on Thursday, September 29 2022 at 11 AM with visitation starting at 10 AM at Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel, 1827 Coon Rapids Blvd. NW, Coon Rapids. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred by family.
