3 Point Scholarship Student Video
Like many small nonprofits, we rely mostly on fundraising events to sustain our programs. COVID-19 has forced us to cancel our June 11 fundraising event that was a significant revenue source for our 3 Point Scholarship Program. In an effort to narrow the gap in revenue lost from not hosting this event, we are hopeful you will consider donating today. No amount is too small. All funds will benefit the John Starks Foundation 3 Point Scholarship Program.
Established in 1994 by New York Knicks Legend and NBA All Star John Starks, the John Starks Foundation provides monetary grants to NY, NJ, CT and Tulsa, OK college bound students who demonstrate financial need, academic achievement and a commitment to community service. Students can attend any four year College or University of their choice. Grants are renewable each year of college as long as students maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA and continue their community service projects, initiatives and programs. To date, hundreds of monetary grants have been awarded to students. A complete list of students, their hometowns and Colleges/Universities can be viewed on our website www.johnstarks.com.
On behalf of John Starks, our board members, 3 Point Scholarship recipients and I, thank you in advance for your support and generosity. We know this is a challenging time for our communities, but together we can make a difference.
Please take good care of yourself, your family and neighbors.
Sincerely,
