John Timms End of Life Fund
Donation protected

Dear friends and family,
We are deeply saddened to tell you of the sudden loss of John E. Timms on Friday, June 26, 2020. We are devastated by his passing and but are encouraged that he knew Jesus as his Lord and savior and is now at home in Heaven. Unfortunately with this passing comes many unforeseen expenses. We are struggling to come up with the finances needed to pay for the end of life expenses and other fees incurred to John's estate.
Those of you who knew John well also know that his mother is fighting for her life battling Glioblastoma which is a terminal form of brain cancer. This is also factoring into the shortage of funding from our family at this time.
We are humbly asking for any donations possible to cover these unfortunate expenses. We are hoping to raise at least $3,000 to cover the retainer for the lawyer for probate. Any additional monies raised over the $3,000 will be applied first to other costs incurred by the estate and anything after that will be donated either in the form of a scholarship in John's name or to an existing scholarship on behalf of John's name, at Dallas County Community College El Centro where he worked and loved his students. John was a truly devoted teacher and mentor. We would be honored to be able to bless a student at El Centro College with a scholarship in John's name. If you are able to, please consider donating to our fund at this time. Any amount will be gratefully appreciated.
We are having a memorial service for John on Saturday July 25, 2020 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Carrollton, Tx at 11 am. Due to Covid-19 restrictions we are limited to family only at the church. The service will be live streamed for anyone who would like to attend virtually. We will be posting the link to the service on John's Facebook page.
We would also like your help finding a new home for his 2 dogs, Abby and Samantha. They are approximately 5 years old german shepherd mixes. Both are house trained, friendly and loving. We are hoping that they can find a home together and not be separated. If you are interested for yourself or know of someone who can take the dogs please contact Zach at [email redacted].
