In Loving Memory John Vanwy

Hi, this is Amber, John Vanwy’s daughter. I’m trying to raise funds for my father’s celebration of life and for his beloved girlfriend named Lily that is currently in the hospital. My Father and his girlfriend were involved in a hit and run while they were headed home on his motorcycle by a careless driver who didn’t stop after he crashed into my dad’s bike and left them there to die. My father unfortunately did not survive the crash but his girlfriend however did. I pray that we find my dad’s killer and that his girlfriend is surrounded by love. My father was a honest hard working man and a supportive father figure and friend who would give you the shirt off his back if he could. He was always cool to be around and had a peace about him that people loved. He is where I get my heart from. This man was wise beyond his years. As a kid growing up around him I never saw him shed a tear. He was always smiling and caring. He taught me about tough love. He would always tell me to never sweat the small stuff. He loved to ride his motorcycle it was his way of feeling alive and free. He loved to build up the community around him both on the job and off the job. This man could always make something out of nothing. And as his daughter I would like to honor him and respect him, his girlfriend, friends, and the rest of the family during this tragic time. We will be hosting a benefit dinner that the kids will enjoy too. I just wanted everyone to know that he was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, friend, and uncle.
