On September 10,2019, our son, brother,uncle and friend John Mattioli was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkins lymphoma.Those who know John or have even just met him, know he is a loving, caring and giving person, always ready to help others in any way he can. To his friends and family who are personally affected, we are still processing ourselves and extend all the love and support we possibly can.
John immediately started an aggressive chemo therapy regime and is currently in his final cycle. Good news is, so far treatments appear to have been successful and pushed the lymphomas into remission. Currently however, all the expected chemo side effects have taken up residence in John's weakened body. Nausea, extreme fatigue, bone and joint pain,digestive issues and neuropathy JUST TO NAME A FEW!!!
John has a huge heart and is an avid animal lover. Unfortunately, due to his diagnosis and weakened immune system he has had to close his successful mobile dog grooming business VaVa Groom Mobile Dog Groomers. As expected, the medical bills and simple daily expenses continue to mount. As you can imagine this has been a very stressful time having not only to deal with the realization you have cancer, together with the side effects of chemo therapy but the closure of the business he had worked so hard to build over the last 12 years.
The fight against cancer goes on.........We all likely know or have met someone who is fighting, or has fought cancer and battled this brutal disease. We ask for your love, prayers and support, whether you know John, have met John, know friends of John or members of his family or have experienced cancer yourself. John is a fighter, however even fighters have a support team in their corner. Please help us in helping John fight this terrible diagnosis and disease and join us as a member of his FIGHT TEAM!!! Your support can help him fight this. Please help us in allowing John to worry about one less thing and provide as much financial support as we can while he goes through this difficult journey and solely focuses on recovery.
