John Vidal, beloved to many friends and family.

My name is George Rivera. On the night of 3/7/2023, I received a phone call that no one ever wants to receive. My best friend of over 15 years, my big brother John Vidal passed away suddenly over the weekend.

Those who knew John know that he is the type of human being that would take the shirt off of his back for you. As a veteran of the Army Reserves, John became the type of man that didn't let his struggles stop him from achieving success. He was a very humble, loving and caring individual who meant a lot to his loved ones. The best memories I have with John are getting the opportunities to play sports together growing up and watching him show everyone that size never mattered, as he was all heart. Also, when we were younger and he would spend his last dollar just to make sure we both had something we could walk out of the corner store with, without EVER expecting anything in return. John lived through a lot of tough experiences growing up, but always found a way to push forward and try to be the best version of himself that he could be. He leaves behind his mother, father, brothers and sisters, as well as friends and family all over Massachusetts and the Dominican Republic that loved him dearly, and we feel he deserves a proper "see you later", as we could never say goodbye.

As you all know, funeral expenses can be tough on grieving families, so I've set up this gofundme to help the family cover funeral costs to give John the respect he deserves. All proceeds will be going directly to his younger brother, Ariel De La Cruz who will be traveling to Massachusetts from Texas to handle John's estate in the wake of his untimely passing.

John; we love you dearly, and we wish we had more time to express that to you during your lifetime. We hope that you are finally at peace.
