John Whaley fighting ALS

Hi, my name is Noel Walter and I'm looking to help my great loving neighbor John Whaley and family as John fights ALS.

Here is John's story.

Avid outdoorsman. Fun family man. Best boss. Friend till the end. All words that describe John Whaley. ALS is taking him from us far too soon.

The dreaded diagnosis came in August. Since then, his devoted wife Robin, loving daughter Elise, and caring son-in-law Donald worked to meet the ever-challenging conditions of the disease.

Contractors and friends worked on a new handicapped accessible addition to the family home in Knife River.

The ALS Association of Minnesota helped along the way, with equipment and other supports. His care team at Essentia were all top-notch.

Then, at the end here, the amazing nurses and doctors at Solvay Hospice House are keeping him comfortable.

We now have to rely on our wonderful memories of him, to lighten our heavy hearts. And we need share them often, for his grandchildren, Cam and Charlotte.
