John's Bicycle Accident Fundraiser

Hello all,
John Ehlers was recently in a bicycle accident in Mattituck where he was struck by a car on August 7, 2020. John was airlifted to Stony Brook hospital and will be there for over a week going through several surgeries. He is currently stable and conscious. We are very grateful for the great Mattituck FD, EMT personnel, and medical staff at Stony Brook University Hospital that is tending to him.
For those of you that don’t know John, he is entering his senior year at Adelphi University pursuing a Business Communications Degree with hopes to earn a Master's Degree as well. He is also a member of the Men’s Lacrosse Team. John’s charismatic personality as a family member, friend, and teammate never fails to put a smile on one's face.
Being a local kid his whole life, he has helped out his community in many ways. John has worked at Laurel Links Country Club as a Caddy and Outside Staff Member for 8 years and has always been a diligent and determined worker.
On behalf of John as well as his family and friends, we are setting up this GoFundMe page to help raise funds to alleviate the financial burden from this scary and unplanned event. We are grateful for any amount as it will all contribute to John’s recovery efforts.
