A Young Family Faced with Cancer

John, Kristine, and their 2 year old Sofia are the kindest family I know. This summer John's leg began to hurt and out of precaution they did a biopsy.
16 days later, they got unimaginable news as a young family. It was cancerous.
Since July 11th, I have watched this family struggle, yet stay so positive considering everything that was happening. I have watched them face hurdle after hurdle, while working their butts off to do everything they could to pay for everything that was happening. John is unable to work and Kristine has been doing everything in her power to help their family stay on top of things, but as we all know. Cancer is expensive!
John has been hospitalized 7 times and has had 5 surgeries, including having 8 inches of his femur removed. His treatment includes a very aggressive form of chemo therapy to kill anything that may have spread.
After this, the plan is to have a knee/femur replacement surgery.
I'm saddened that not only do they have to deal with the stress of fighting cancer, but they now have to worry about the financial struggle this is causing them. The cost of John’s insurance has now doubled, and the deductible has increased, and its becoming increasingly hard to pay for the increased cost of all their medical bills.
If you can help in any way, I know first hand how grateful they all would be. They are the family that doesn't ask for help, and will happily give you the shirt off their back. (I've witnessed their generosity personally over the years)
