Rally Around the McHouls

John and Beth McHoul have served the people of Haiti for nearly 30 years as founders and directors of Heartline Ministries. Compelled by the love of Jesus, their ministry has touched the lives of countless Haitian children and their families. John and Beth have provided compassionate care for orphans, facilitated adoptions of many hundreds of relinquished children into loving homes, provided lifesaving maternal health care to hundreds of women and girls, empowered Haitians with stable jobs and critical income-generating skills, enabled many children to go to school, and discipled Haitians to live as ambassadors of Jesus in their families and communities. John and Beth have lived with expansive hearts for Haiti, the poor, and the marginalized. Now they need our hearts and help.

In June 2017, John traveled to Florida for emergency surgery.  He had 95% blockage in all arteries and had seven heart stents placed in his heart. The recovery process has been steady but slow, and the need for future stents or bypass surgery are real possibilities. John is deeply grateful to be alive. Due to this health crisis, John and Beth have decided to spend more time in the States and less time in Haiti, while continuing to serve Heartline in new ways.

As they make this transition after being in Haiti for nearly 30 years, they are facing significant financial hurdles, including large medical bills and the need to purchase a car and insurance. They have had to replace their air conditioning unit and will soon need to replace the roof on their house. After life-altering heart surgery and many unexpected costs, they are starting again and need our help.
