Hello y'all. I am starting this GoFundMe to help pay for my baby brothers final Expensses. On Thursday, March 21, 2024 Johnathan Wayne Yancey was shot and killed in his home by a person he had known for years, "Batman". I watched the event unfold in front of my eyes, unable to do a thing to help him. The moment he was shot, our eyes locked and it was in that moment that we both knew this was it. He turned he walked into his room and looked at his nephew (my son who is 19) and said call the police. I ran to my baby brother. And all I could do was hold him while he died.

My brother touched so many lives. I am not even sure he realized how many people he helped. The stories that have been shared with me have been bittersweet to hear. But, I have enjoyed hearing them. Johnathan aka Jy aka Johnny, aka John aka John Nathan was special to everyone he met in his own unique way. He is missed so much.

As you may know funeral costs are expensive and this was very unexpected. I am not even sure how to function to be there for my mother during this time. No parent should ever lose a child. With Johnathan not having insurance this will all be out of pocket for my mother and I. I know that money is tight for us all, but whatever you can give to go towards his final Expensses would be greatly appreciated.
