cancer treatment for my dad

Donation protected
I would never normally turn to things like this but if it means my dad has access to further treatment; it's worth it! My dad 48 years old was diagnosed with grade two aggressive oesophageal cancer September 2014. Struggling to eat or even drink he has lost several stone in weight and become very weak. His chemo therapy was cut short as it made him too ill; He could not keep a mouthful of liquid down. With several minor operations scans and a stent fitted to force the tumour open he could eat softer foods to strengthen himself for the final surgeory. February the 4th; world cancer day my dad was scheduled for his last point of treatment his operation was cut short as his tumour had spread and reached arteries. The hospital believe this was his only chance to cure. I've done my research and discovered new radiotherapy technology which targets purely bad cells, proton beam therapy; although this treatment is not available in the UK until 2018 on the nhs. this would mean going abroad wherever we have to travel! It may be a log shot but if this gives even a small chance he's well worth it! With reading up on other worse case survivor stories I believe with this technology he will beat this! We will be sending my dad to Prague for 8 weeks for daily treatment at a private clinic. 50k is the guideline for the treatment costs only! My mum and dad will be paying costs for living and accommodation. We are now in the process of exchanging medical notes with the clinic in Prague.
