Johnna Fleak’s Medical Treatment

Hi This is Maci, Johnna’s step daughter!
Johnna was recently diagnosed with Ehler’s Danlos Syndrome, a group of disorders that affect connective tissues supporting the skin, bones, blood vessels, and many other organs and tissues. Johnna has been living with this her whole life but the last 2 years have been incredibly difficult. She’s been unable to work or live a normal life. About 2 months ago things started going down hill tremendously. She has been on a heart monitor, wearing a neck brace, on oxygen, on an extremely specific and limited diet, unable to face the elements of the outside due to issues with her mast cells, she has pretty much been home bound.
She has several specialists that she meets with along with her primary doctors. & had had many ambulance trips to the the ER and hospital stays on top of it all.
Recently, she has been accepted as a patient at the Mayo Clinic in Florida to meet with an electrophysiologist and an entire team of specialist to try and figure out some treatment options for her to not only give her a longer life, but a better quality of life! This is extremely exciting!! EDS is a degenerative condition so finding any options for a better quality of life is imperative! Although Johnna does have insurance, it’s only covering a fraction of the medical bills and the so many more to come!
Johnna has a strong faith in God and His plan for her life and is constantly praying for his strength and hand to cover her and heal her body as much as possible!
Any amount you can contribute would be immensely appreciated! Thank you so much!
Please continue to keep Johnna and my dad, Brett Fleak, in your thoughts and prayers!
Thank you!!
