Johnnie Pentecost Medical & Financial Needs
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tara and I am fundraising for my uncle Johnnie Pentecost Sr. On September 11, 2023 Johnnie suffered a severe heart attack which led to him having to be revived by medical personnel. It was found that he had 4 different blockages in his arteries and was admitted to the CCU. He was intubated and sedated for 7 days while the medical team could allow his body to rest and recover. During that time he also developed some infections and pneumonia, but they were successfully able to manage and get those resolved quickly. The intubation tube was finally removed on September 19th and he slowly began talking. He also began working with some occupational therapists so he could begin eating and a physical therapist to help with some movement over the next week. On September 25 he was able to be downgraded to a regular hospital room while he continued to gain his strength. On September 28 he was discharged home to continue to rest and recover. In a few weeks he will then undergo a stress test which will help the doctors determine if he only needs medication to manage his condition, a stent repair/ replacement or worst case scenario would be a CABG procedure (bypass/ open heart). While Johnnie has made tremendous improvements over the past few weeks, there is still a long road ahead.
Prior to the heart attack Johnnie had recently started a new job and did not have any medical insurance. He was the sole provider for their family. Given his physical state, Johnnie is now unable to work per doctor's orders. In addition to the medical bills, they also have no income currently and no means to be able to pay their monthly bills. Anything you are able to provide would be greatly appreciated and go straight to those immediate needs. Even if you are unable to give financially, please continue to keep Johnnie and the rest of the family in your prayers! We are so thankful for the blessings and healing he has already received and trust God for his continued healing.
