Johnny Dupont Fundraiser
Donation protected
My name is Coralee and my husband Joey and I are best friends with Johnny and Bernadette DuPont of St. lazare. We spent every weekend in the Summer as neighbours at Aspen Grove campground for the last 10 years. Joey and Johnny are distant cousins and we have always been the best of friends. Johnny was diagnosed with two aneurysm near the heart over four years ago but with Covid and the long waiting list he just had to try and stay healthy and get in line with everyone else needing surgery. Johnny is a friend to many and he and Bernadette are the type of people who would give you the shirt off of their backs with no questions asked. On May 25th Johnny finally got in for his big surgery and with a large team of surgeons and nurses he underwent a very lengthy 16 hour operation. He got through the surgery with Bernie patiently waiting for the “all good” from the doctors which finally came. Johnnys surgery was long and when one of the aneurysm was cut out some of the plaque fell into the arteries causing 8 extra hours of clean up inside of his veins. It has been over a week since surgery and although he is slowly progressing he has had some major setbacks. Johnny’s kidneys aren’t working and therefore he is on dialysis and they are keeping close eye on his legs/feet as he is having some circulation issues which may lead to further surgery. Moral of my story is they have a very long road ahead and with the unknown of more surgery and of his rehabilitation I as a friend want to help. Bernadette is staying in Winnipeg by his side while he is currently in the Aspers Institute recovery centre at St.Boniface. If you can find it in your heart to help them please donate, they would help anyone in need and I ask that we help them now in their time of need. Thank you Coralee
