Johnny Medlock

Many of you know my Uncle Johnny Medlock. If you don’t, you’re missing out! He is one in a million. The sweetest spirit you’ll ever meet. Kind, truthful, & unapologetic for his faith and convictions. If you have ever been sick in the hospital, I guarantee he has showed up to not only be there as support but to visit & pray with you. If you have ever called in the middle of the night, for any reason, and needed prayer or help in any way, he has been there. If your marriage was failing, your loved one was sick or lost in sin, you lost your job, at a crossroads in life, or whatever the case may be, I guarantee Uncle Johnny has prayed with you! I am sure he has even officiated a funeral you may have attended and/or a wedding! He has given his life to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and he has been a true and faithful servant. He has always been there when we need him! I have been approached many times in my small hometown; “your uncle is Johnny Medlock, right? Man, that is a true man of God” I have heard that and so much more, to many times to count. It is true. This man walks the talk. No doubt about it. He is human just like the rest of us, however God called him to do mighty things for His kingdom and Uncle Johnny answered! There are a couple verses in John, that always come to mind when I think of my Uncle Johnny and the calling on his life. John 15:12. Jesus says; “This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you.” John 15:16 “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit-fruit that will last-and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.” I share the above, to say this; Recently, the doctors have given a report that is not in Uncle Johnny’s favor but we know the ultimate physician! We want a second opinion and possibly treatment from the Mayo Clinic here in Rochester, MN. Due to certain circumstances & health concerns, Uncle Johnny had to quit his secondary job and he now has health insurance that is not accepted here at the Mayo Clinic. With his current insurance, he cannot get any secondary insurance and so all that is left, is self-pay. With the upcoming medical expenses from Mayo Clinic, they are estimating around $80,000.00 + for all the proper testing and what is needed. While Uncle Johnny is still currently pastoring the Ozark Tabernacle Church, Aunt Kathy is the only income and another payment isn’t feasible. We desperately want the second opinion. We are asking for anyone who can, please help. If you can’t, we understand, however we do ask that you share this and keep Uncle Johnny in your prayers. Please pray for peace & strength for my Aunt Kathy, Michael, and Rachel and pray that when we get the second opinion, that there will be a good report. We believe the report of the Lord!
