Johnny Vega's Kidney Transplant Fund

In October of 2014 Johnny was working outside and got really hot.  He had just a head ache at first and then started vomiting.  The next morning when he woke up he could not see anything.  Totally blind!  It happened literally overnight.    Both of his eyes had hemorrhaged and ruptured retinas.  He had surgeries to correct the damage.  During all this process we found out Johnny's kidneys were not functioning well due to years of diabetes and high blood pressure.  On Friday July 3, 2015, he started dialysis.  The first session went well, but the second session did not.  He walked in and had to be led out.  Totally blind, again.  The heparin,(blood thinner) they use during dialysis  caused his eyes to hemorrhage again.  Several surgeries later, Johnny is seeing well out of both eyes.  Praise the Lord! Fast forward to July 2019,  4 years on dialysis, with many challenges, Johnny was approved for the kidney transplant list.   In February of 2020 Louis, our brother,  graciously decided to give Johnny a kidney.  Louis has completed his part of the process and is a perfect match.   They are hoping to do the kidney transplant in October 2020.  This has been a long and emotional process. There will be considerable expenses.  Louis lives out of state and will have to travel to Texas and be off work for 6-8 weeks. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated to help my brothers Johnny and Louis Vega, pay medical expenses and bills while they go through this kidney transplant and donor process.
