On April 9th 2009 John's mother Maribel Alvarez was murdered by a 19 year old who stabbed her to death. Life for John wasn't easy, yet he always had many guardian angels who looked out after him.
He always had the unconditional love of his father, his grandmother, Grandfather, aunts, and uncles, they always had his back no matter what. John was a very loving kid, he was kind, respectful, down to earth and mature for his age.
If he would see another kid without lunch, shoes or a jacket he would be the first one to volunteer and help him out, that's the kind of person John was.
He was devoted to his sister who was his best friend, they been through a lot together and they both found strength among each other to go on with life.
On October 28th, 2018 John attended a Halloween Party with his friend, around 2:14 AM him and his friend was walking through an alley on 6200 blocks South of Maplewood Avenue when someone in a silver sedan fired gunshots at them.
John was shot in the chest and left shoulder, he was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. His entire family is heartbroken, sad and extremely upset that once again the gun violence in Chicago took another life of an innocent 16-year-old.
This is definitely something unexpected, therefore this GOFUNDME page was created to help with John's funeral expenses. This page was requested by many friends and family members that love John Pina. Our goal is to reach 10,000 but anything you can donate will help remove another burden for his dad who will be in every step of this process. My God bless you and thank you for reading this.
