Surviving Partner needs some help
Donation protected
Last Friday night, my dear friend James passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. He died in the car on the way to the Emergency Room. Paramedics tried to revive him but they were unsuccessful. Tragically, my old neghbors, Sarah and Brian, John, my daughter, and I were at Jame's side when the coroner took him away.
James leaves behind his partner of 25 years. Over the past 8 months, the couple had been trying to find a place to move to that would accept them and their two dogs. They had been sturggling financially as their rented home had become to expensive on their fixed income.
John adores animals (no wonder he's a dear friend) and works at Pet Express as an assistance manager. As you can imagine, that kind of retail job does not compensate well enough to live in the Bay Area. Now that James is gone and won't be contributing to the household, I fear that John will be in a very tough situation.
It is my hope that we can raise enough money for John to put a down payment on a local, low-income unit.
Any and all donations are appreciated. No monetary contribution is too low. We also welcome frozen food items, dog food, or anything else you think will help. I also hope to have a celebration of life in the next week or two, at which time we will also be accepting donations.
Thank you very much for reading. It takes a village. :)
