John's Place Homeless Shelter at St. Agnes
Donation protected
John's Place is an Emergency Winter Homeless Shelter located at Parish Hall of St. Agnes Church in Greenport, NY. Winter is always a challenge for homeless people. This year, because of COVID19 is proving to be even harder... .
Our guests arrive on Tuesday evenings for a hot meal, shower, clothes, a safe place to sleep, breakfast, and a bag lunch as they leave.
Pandemic has created an unprecedented need, so St Agnes parish has also allowed Maureen's Haven Homeless Outreach to use the St. Agnes Parish Hall to serve this vulnerable population an additional 3 nights a week.
An emergency created the need for a new roof on the hall which was completed as the snow storm hit this week.
We are asking for your help so we can continue to pay our current bills for the heat, water, electricity and gas we need to help the poor.
Every dollar counts! We are very grateful for everything you do to help us.
"And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to me'" Matthew 25: 40"
