John’s recovery fundraiser

Hello friends and family, I'm reaching out with some urgent news regarding John. He has recently been diagnosed with a staph aureus infection on his spine bone and has been hospitalized since April 23, 2024. Unfortunately, he will need to continue his hospital stay for another week or so due to the severity of the infection. John has been enduring excruciating pain for over 2 and a half months, and it's only now that the doctors have identified the issue and begun treatment with antibiotics and pain medications. However, John still requires further antibiotic treatments until he has 5 consecutive negative blood cultures, indicating that the infection has been fully eradicated.
During this extended hospitalization and subsequent 6 to7 weeks recovery period at home, John will be unable to work and will not receive any pay after using up a few hours of vacation/sick time pay he has left, placing a significant strain on our finances. To help alleviate this burden, we've set up a GoFundMe page to gather support for medical expenses and monthly bills to ensure he can focus on his recovery without the added worry of financial stress.
