John’s virtual cycle challenge

My name is John.

I am a football coach with Balloan fc,
which is a community based club with 
more than 150+ registered young
players, and is entirely run by volunteers.
As with all community clubs we have no benefactors  and don’t
Receive any form of funding.
Sadly the COVID-19 global pandemic
has affected our various plans for 
fund-raising activities including a
 Postponed trip to Castelo De Vide, Portugal.
Last  year we were able to hold sponsored runs, car park bingo and bag -packing at local supermarkets, due to the 
pandemic we are not able to hold any such events for the
 Foreseeable  future.
However we still need to raise money to purchase training 
Equipment,etc to allow the club to keep running,  In view of this
I am undertaking the challenge of cycling  2943.6 km,  (1829 miles)
( the distance between Inverness & Castelo De Vide. )
All monies raised will be split equally between Balloan Fc  and
DEMENTIA UK, to help their research into this cruel disease,
A charity which is very close to my heart , having lost my Dad to
the illness and having family members living with Dementia.
