Join Alexa and Neve in Fighting Alzheimer's

Dear Friends and Family,

We are looking forward to bringing the community together again to try to make a difference in the lives of those suffering from Alzheimer's disease. As you know, this cause is particularly close to our hearts. This past November, our maternal grandmother passed away after a long struggle with the disease. She was a magical person and brought so much beauty into this world through her magnificent artwork, her sense of humor, and her unconditional love for her family. We will forever be impacted by witnessing her memory-loss process--over the past nine years, she lost not only her memories, but her passions, sense of self, and ability to communicate. We spent many hours over the years at her memory care facility, and we came to know and care for all of the residents. After every visit, we felt we wanted to do something to help. We are also inspired by a wish to have had the chance to know our paternal grandmother, Virginia (Gigi) Burton, who lived in this neighborhood for 23 years--she passed away before either of us got to know her. Her mother suffered from the same disease.

If Alzheimer's is a cause that is important to your family, please consider donating; no amount is too small. All proceeds go to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund and directly to researchers around the globe working towards discovering a cure for this pervasive, debilitating and heartbreaking disease.

With gratitude,

Alexa and Neve Burton
