Join Amira's Fight for a Pain-Free Life

Amira doesn't back down, and neither do we.
Born on May 12, 2020, in the year of the pandemic and exhausted doctors, a fighter by nature, overcoming hypoxia, decided not to meet the expectations of the medical commission, which they assumed she would be a girl diagnosed with spastic tetraplegia.
We learned from our daughter how to emerge victorious in CPR twice, how to deal with pain every day, but not give in to gruelling therapies to be able to walk, one step, then the other. How to scream at the helplessness of speaking, but never give up.
For Amira to be able to walk, run, dance, climb mountains, play with other children and not feel the pain caused by spasticity at every moment of her life, we need your help to have the surgical procedure called Dorsal Selective Risotomy.
In Moldova, this intervention is not performed, only in a few clinics in the world, one of them is in the United States. We recently received a response from St. Louis Children's Hospital in Missouri, indicating that Amira is eligible for this procedure..
After Dorsal Selective Risotomy surgery, Amira will undergo a noninvasive orthopaedic intervention to lengthen the tendons of the ischiotibial, gastrocnemial muscles and Achilles tendon. However, to access these interventions, we need money, which we currently do not have.
We can cover accommodation and transportation costs. After the surgery, we'll need rehabilitation This involves staying close to the physical therapy clinic for 3 weeks after the first intervention, and another 2 weeks after the second.
Rehabilitation will continue after surgery and could last between two and four years on average. According to research by the US National Institute of Health, after 5 years since Selective Dorsal Risotomy combined with orthopaedic surgery and postoperative physiotherapy, 99% of children operated on achieve the ability to walk independently and have a quality of life similar to that of the healthy children.
Amira has taught us that in this world pain or love triumphs.
Help us let love win.
We don't give up, because love always prevails.
