Late Chandra Kala Baral's Online Mano-Chamal
Donation protected
Dear family, friends, relatives, and well-wishers,
As you all may be aware by now, that our beloved mother, Chandra Kala Baral, originally from Lamidada Bhutan, a former refugee from Bhutan, a victim of Bhutan's autocratic administration - yet an inspirational figure in our family passed away last week in Atlanta, Georgia.
Upon request and suggestion from several of our friends, families and loved ones from across the country and outside, I along with all of the children of Late Chandra Kala Baral have acknowledged the need for and importance of your sincere desire to send us Mano Chamal via online if you are not able to visit us in person. While we miss seeing you in person as we mourn the loss of our mother here in Atlanta, Georgia, we do agree that letting all interested relatives contribute to the process of the rites and rituals of our mother through this Mano Chamal will not only keep our Mano Chamal culture intact but also will significantly help some of us - especially living abroad. Thanks to GoFundMe for making this possible!
Our mother, a true believer of God, an exemplary devotee of Lord Vishnu died at the age of 97 living a full life (Purna Jeevan) with profound resilience and great pride. We are happy that she breathed her last in peace while surrounded by family members and friends. However, her death was sudden, and we weren't fully prepared for the costs for the sixteen days-long Karma Kanda that is required to be caried out as per our mother's religion and wishes. Therefore, your Online Mano Chamal is of great value for us. In addition, one of our brother's families is still in Nepal staying in refugee camp where they are going through the same process of mourning and performing the required rituals. A part of your contribution to this cause will be used towards the expenditures including cost for priest services, Gau Daan, etc. in Beldangi Refugee Camp, Nepal.
We warmly welcome you all for personal visit in Georgia. We greatly appreciate each of you for your support, sympathy, visits, messages, calls and prayers and expect the same as we process the grief over the next few weeks.
We thank you:
