Join Benjamin's Fight Against Stage 4 Lung Cancer

As many of you know, our friend Benjamin Harvey was recently diagnosed with non-small cell carcinoma, more commonly known as large cell cancer of the lungs, which is unfortunately the most aggressive form of cancer and is classified as stage 4. In short, the cancer is treatable but it is not curable. From what we know, it seems that the diagnosis came from a genetic mutation. Because of said mutation, Ben is currently receiving both chemotherapy and immunotherapy from KU Med with plans to get a second opinion from MD Anderson in Houston,TX mid July.

Ben is a beloved member of the Kansas City music community from his time playing in bands such as Gourmand, Marasmus, and Unmerciful, as well as his home studio at [Axel] Harvey Productions where he has recorded and/or produced dozens of bands in the KC area. He is also a son, brother, boyfriend, uncle, friend to many, and safety professional at Cintas, among many other things.

During this difficult time Ben is indefinitely off work due to extreme breathing issues and weakness. He is currently receiving a partial salary through short term disability, which is only an option for a limited amount of time. This combined with incoming medical debt has put him in an increasingly stressful financial situation.
