A Journey:
My cancer journey began on 10/18/23 with needing a total hysterectomy. The surgery went well, but the cancer was at a stage 3 so I started chemotherapy in November. After a bad start resulting in me having an anaphylactic reaction to the Taxol, and coming close to not being around anymore, they started a new chemotherapy drug. I took two chemotherapy drugs and an immunotherapy drug for 6 treatments. My last treatment was 3/21/24. It was a rough road with some hiccups along the way. I had a ct scan which showed there were no signs of cancer, so the road I’ve been on was well worth the fight. I made it!! There have been so many people that have helped me during the chemotherapy part of my journey. At this point I begin the course of 25 radiation treatments as part of my maintenance. Unfortunately, I had another major hiccup. I had an immuno-reaction to the immunotherapy drug I was taking as another part of my maintenance, which presented itself as symptoms from Guillain Barre Syndrome. I was admitted into the hospital for 8 days receiving treatment for this reaction. I now have to use a walker, cannot drive, cannot work, among many other things. I am some better and getting stronger with physical therapy.
As I’m sure we all know, there are outrageous costs when it comes to medical bills, rent, utilities, cell phone bill, etc., which all have to be paid with a limited income. I know it’s asking a lot when asking for donations, especially these days. If you are able to donate I would appreciate it. The love, prayers, and support I’ve been receiving are also appreciated more than you will ever know.
I know some people don’t like these types of funding sites. Please feel free to message me and I am happy to set up a different way to donate.
I will continue to press forward with gratitude❤️
Love,
