Help Brody Beat Leukemia and Rebuild His Life
Donation protected
On Mother’s Day weekend in 2024, our lives changed forever. Our 16-year-old son, Brody, was diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive form of leukemia. What followed were months of hospital stays, intense chemotherapy, and terrifying complications that threatened his life more than once.
After enduring grueling treatments at St. Joe’s Children’s Hospital, Brody was finally in remission — a crucial step to receive a life-saving bone marrow transplant. In December 2024, after more than half a year in and out of the hospital, Brody and his mother were finally discharged from Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital following his transplant.
While we are beyond grateful that Brody is still here with us, the fight isn’t over — and neither is the financial burden that comes with it.
To keep Brody close to the hospital for emergency care post-transplant, we had to temporarily relocate. We’ve also made major modifications to our home to support his physical therapy and rehabilitation. He missed the end of his sophomore year and his entire junior year of high school — we are now hiring private tutors to help him catch up so he can graduate with his class.
Our family is currently managing:
• Ongoing specialist visits
• Long-term medications and follow-ups
• Home therapy and rehabilitation equipment
• Private tutoring and academic support
• Outstanding and ongoing medical bills
We are asking for help to ease the growing financial strain, so we can focus on what matters most: helping Brody heal and get back to being a teenager again.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign means just as much to us. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with our family through the hardest chapter of our lives.
With gratitude,
