Support Brynlee Ailingers Fight Against Childhood Leukemia
Help support me in the fight against Leukemia. #BrynStrong
My name is Brynlee Ailinger, I am 5 years old and I live with my family in Lancaster NY, a suburb of Buffalo. On April 29, 2024 while attending pre-school I was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and was admitted to Oishei Children's Hospital (OCH) in Buffalo NY for induction for 3 weeks. On May 20th I was discharged from OCH to return home with my family. Since then I have had multiple hospital admissions, spending weeks in the hospital in addition to continuing outpatient treatments & procedures at Roswell Park Cancer Institute where I have undergone chemotherapy, immunotherapy treatment, CAR T cell therapy and a stem cell transplant.
I have a very rare mutation, TCF3-HLH Fusion, which affects less than 1% of children diagnosed with ALL. This mutation makes my treatment more challenging because it is more resistant to many typical treatments for ALL such as chemotherapy. My awesome medical team has collaborated with other doctors across the U.S. and around the world (France & China!) to create a treatment plan that will help me get better using medicine and therapies they have found successful for other children with the same type of Leukemia & mutations as me.
My family and I have a long tough journey ahead. Donations will be used towards my well being and medical & treatment related expenses which will continue throughout my childhood and likely the rest of my life. Please help support me in my fight against Leukemia and all of children across the world who are also fighting Leukemia.
