It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating news of my sweet nephew, baby Cash, who passed away on January 11th and has gone to be with the Lord. Our hearts are shattered for my younger sister, Renee, my brother-in-law Keaton, and their two beautiful children, Colton and Noelle.

Though Cash was with us for a short time, he knew nothing but love. We find comfort in knowing he is in heaven, surrounded by peace and those who have gone before us.

We will miss you, precious Cash, more than words can express. You will always be in our hearts and on our minds every single day. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Jenna and I are reaching out with heavy hearts to share the story of our nephew, Cash Baker. At just two weeks old, Cash is already facing an uphill battle against Entero Viral Sepsis, a serious complication that arose after he contracted the Rhino Virus. On the evening of January 4th, his parents, Renee and Keaton Baker, noticed that Cash had labored breathing. In a swift and brave decision, they called 911, and Cash was rushed to Overland Park Regional Medical Center. It quickly became evident that he required specialized care, leading to his transfer to the Children’s Mercy Hospital in downtown Kansas City for level 4 NICU treatment.

As you can imagine, this sudden diagnosis has left Cash's family feeling overwhelmed and scared. Renee and Keaton are newlyweds with two other little ones to care for—Colton, age 6, and Noelle, just 15 months old. This unexpected situation puts a financial strain on the entire family as they navigate planning a funeral, medical bills, and the challenges of maintaining their home during this difficult time. We are asking for your help to ease some of their burdens. Your generous contributions will go directly towards covering Cash’s out-of-pocket medical expenses, basic household maintenance, and gas money for the countless trips to and from the hospital as well as funeral expenses.
