Join D Lawrence Home Designs Efforts To Rebuild Carriacou

My name is Marrisa Lawrence, and I am one of the owners of D Lawrence Home Designs. On July 1st, the Caribbean was struck by Hurricane Beryl, an exceptionally strong Category 4 storm. Our home island, Carriacou, sustained a direct hit, resulting in the destruction of 98% of the island, including the homes of our friends, families, and our own.

Since the storm, we have been actively engaged in the following relief efforts:

1. We have topped up Flow and Digicel users' phones with data so they can communicate with their friends and families on the island and in the diaspora.

2. Initiated an emergency hurricane relief drive to provide essential supplies such as food, water, clothing, and other necessities. We are in the process of preparing these items for shipment to support the community.

Currently, our focus has shifted towards long-term recovery. We are committed to returning to Carriacou to volunteer our labor towards rebuilding efforts. To support this initiative, we have already begun sourcing construction materials on our own from the U.S. and Trinidad. We kindly request any donations, regardless of size, to contribute towards more materials as we dedicate our efforts to rebuilding our home and community.
