Join Dan, Ace, and Luffy's Fight for a Fresh Start

Hey there, internet. My name is Dan. I'm starting this fundraiser as I am once again in a tight spot with life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Myself, my dog, and my nesting partner are attempting to find housing as I find not just myself but the three of us in desperate need to find a new living situation. Since 2018 I have been taking care of my elderly Father who has dementia and Alzheimer's disease. During the pandemic, like many, I was left go from my job and forced into unemployment. As such, my savings took a massive hit for which I am still attempting to recover from. My siblings are finally making moves to get better care for my Father by placing him in a care facility. What this means is that I will be without a home since I've been living with him to be his primary care taker.

My partner and I are also trying to take the next step in our relationship and they are also in a similar situation with finances as they've had to move out of a unhealthy household. We're seeking any and all help to aid in the cost of a down-payment for an apartment and some finances to ensure we can get to a stable place. The both of us have just started new jobs but we don't have enough saved up yet to be able to afford the upfront costs of moving, let alone the fees needed to make the move. I've already put myself into the negative just trying to get supplies to pack things up while also taking care of my dog and my other expenses.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated as it will mean the three of us all have a roof over our heads, as well as help in keeping us on our feet for a month or two while we try to adjust with our new positions and budgeting. I hope to pay the repeated kindness I've been offered during difficult times like this, and I do sincerely hope this is the last time any of us will need to lean on others in this manner (in the hope that we'll be in a position for others to lean on us.)

Again, any donations will go towards the cost of getting on a lease, the costs of packing and moving, ensuring my dog will be able to be a part of the move, and help to give us a slight buffer until we've put enough hours in at our new positions.
