Aloha, I am the oldest daughter, Haley, of David Mendes. (The man in the photo above). That man in the photo above is a husband, father, grandfather, brother & uncle. If you know my dad, you’d know how much my dad loves everyone, regardless. And how he would give someone he didn’t even know, the shirt right off his back. Helping others from the heart is what my dad lives for.

My dad is currently fighting for his life. He’s been in and out of the hospital over a month now. Going through a variety of major surgeries and fighting infections daily. All I want is for my dad to not worry about ANYTHING. And just focus on recovery and healing.

He deserves to have a peace of mind during this time. Especially financially. Medical bills are skyrocketing and we are asking for all the help we can get.

CURRENT UPDATE ON MY DAD:05/26

So the update now is his white blood cell count is up again. They did a cat scan and found an abscess with infection near the area of his old stoma site. They’re switching his antibiotics and inserting a drain in hopes of killing it.
