Join Dax's Journey Towards a Healthier Future

Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,

I'm reaching out to you today to ask for your support for Dax Dubie, a bright and resilient 8-year-old facing significant mental health challenges.

Dax has been courageously battling depression, anxiety, and intrusive thoughts for several years, now. At this time, she has been admitted in the hospital for the past 4 days, waiting for a space to open so she can receive the in-patient care she requires.

In addition to this hospital stay, Dax has been out of school since January, as her school is working to get the schedule and resources in place that will best support Dax’s educational needs. This has been a long and stressful battle already with much more work still to be done. And as a result, it means that Dax’s mom, Hillary, and her partner, Liam, have been unable to work for over 4 months.

Both Hillary and Liam are self-employed. With Dax being out of school and in the home 24/7, requiring round-the-clock 1:1 and sometimes 2:1 care to keep her safe, working consistently has become impossible for them both, and has made their income nearly non-existent. They have worked tirelessly to provide Dax the love and care she requires, while trying to keep as many work commitments in place as they can, and using their savings to pay all of their bills. However, after four months of no health improvements for Dax or breakthroughs with the school, Dax, Hillary, and Liam have reached their limit and are in need of our help.

That's why I've created this GoFundMe campaign – to rally support and ensure that Dax is able to receive the care and resources she needs to thrive. Your generous donations will directly contribute to Dax's mental health journey by assisting with the cost of the car payments, groceries, and household bills. Every dollar makes a difference in helping to ensure that Dax's basic needs are met, that she has continued access to the support she deserves, and in giving Hillary and Liam the peace of mind in knowing that they can still provide for her without the stress of finances lingering over them.
