East Bay church needs your immediate support!

Last week as I celebrated my one year anniversary as Senior Minister at the East Bay Church of Religious Science in Oakland, CA - we were robbed, not once, but twice. Our offering, our video cameras and sound board, our bookstore cash register and several computers were taken. Six doors and our gate need to be repaired.

We need your help. While insurance will cover our basic replacement costs, we have a gap of $20,000 to make our church secure.

Hire a professional security team

Purchase stronger windows and doors

Purchase outside lighting for our evening events

When I called our beloved Pastor Emeritus Rev. Elouise Oliver to tell her the news, she immediately said, “We have to pray for them.” So we did and will continue to do so even as we rebuild. This week and every week during our Summer of Radical Love we will say a prayer for the safety of our city, our nation and our world. We forgive and we forge ahead!
