Join Ed's fight against cancer
Donation protected
Ed was diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer shortly after fighting the Interlaken Fire in the spring of 2024. Doctors indicate the cancer was caused by breathing wildland fire smoke. Ed has been a firefighter with the USFS for almost 20 years, and in that time, he has fought fires all across America and mentored dozens of young men and women to become better people and better public servants. Ed has received radiation treatment and immunotherapy infusions to bolster his own body's ability to fight off this cancer.
Ed had been planning on returning to work this month, except another tumor was found on his spine. This tumor was swiftly removed, and he will undergo another round of radiation. In an effort to ease the pain of his now prolonged recovery, we ask for your donation to help cover some of the expenses he and his wife Ky are faced with.
Ed will donate any remaining funds to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation. Their website is https://wffoundation.org/
Thank you for joining us as we support Ed in his recovery!
