Dear Friends, Family, and Insurance Community,
We are reaching out today to ask for your support for our beloved Grace, who is facing a challenging medical journey. Grace has always been a beacon of light and positivity in our lives, and now she needs our help more than ever.
For those of you who may not have heard, Grace was in a car accident on her way home from the office in late October. Due to the whiplash from the accident, she suffered from several strokes and has subsequently been diagnosed with locked-in syndrome. Locked-in syndrome is a rare neurological condition that has left her mostly unable to move or speak, though she remains fully conscious. Grace is making slow progress and there is hope of recovery, but her journey has been incredibly tough, involving extensive treatments and therapies. Despite her strength and resilience, the financial burden of her medical bills continues. The costs of hospital stays, specialized equipment, medications, and ongoing therapies are mounting, and we are seeking your generosity to help alleviate this burden. As of late February, Grace remains at Kessler Institute of Rehabilitation.
Grace has touched many of our lives in different capacities. She is a cherished friend, a loving daughter, and a supportive sister. Her kindness, empathy, and unwavering support have made a lasting impact on all of us. Professionally, as an equity research analyst, her dedication and passion for her work were genuinely inspiring.
Grace's parents, Marsha and Bob Carter, sister Rachel, and Grace's boyfriend, Casey, have been staying close to Grace by visiting most days and posting updates (link below).
We have created this GoFundMe page to raise funds for Grace's medical expenses. Your donations will go directly to her family, who will help with her treatment and recovery and ensure she receives the best possible care. No matter how small, every contribution will make a significant difference in Grace's fight for health.
Grace has always been there for us, offering her love, support, and kindness. Now, it's our turn to help her. Please consider donating and sharing this page with your network. Together, we can help Grace overcome this difficult time and restore her to the vibrant, joyful person we all know and love.
Thank you for your support and generosity.
