Support Michael Flynn and the Future of Rosebud Ranch

Rosebud ranch has been a sanctuary - a creative refuge and place of healing for many, since 2009.

Michael Flynn, its humble steward, has been hosting unique and nurturing community events on the land for at least 10 years.

Not many are aware of the health and economic challenges Michael has faced in recent years, and fewer still are aware of the amount of money he has personally invested in upgrades to safety and infrastructure at rosebud, to allow him to continue to host these amazing events.

Anyone who has ever produced a large event understands what a labor of love it truly is!

Rosebud’s annual Beltane (Maypole) festival is the largest attended and well-known of its events, and draws people

from all walks of life- everyone has a place at the table here! From families with young children, to youth, to adults and elders, the magic of Beltane, it is an inclusive, earth- based community celebration of new life and springtime.

Historically, Beltane was always free- it was a community offering that was meant to be volunteer based and supported by free-will donation and shared by word of mouth.

However, the times are a changing , and a reliable volunteer base is hard to come by, so our production committee now has to hire out for jobs that were historically volunteer positions.

It was only a few years ago when Rosebud began asking for donations at the door, which then evolved into ticket sales (a new thing, only the past 2 Beltane events were actually ticketed.)

Still, in the spirit of giving and community, Michael and the Beltane committee, myself included, feel it is important that everyone who wants to attend be able to join, regardless of donation or availability for volunteering. We have also kept the lowest tier ticketing available for those who need it, though the true cost of running an event like this would be nearly double the lowest tier amount per ticket, if we were to cover all the expenses.

To be direct, Beltane 2024 was an amazing experience- but the donations were sparse enough to leave Michael to personally bear the thousands in deficit- after working tirelessly for weeks on end to produce the event. This amount does not include recent renovations and other important upgrades to parking that are still needed.

To add to that, he has been supporting vet care for his dog Blu, who suffered congestive heart disease the last two years and peacefully passed away just days after the big event. I’d like to start with my own donation - please join me!
