Project All-Indie Independent Bookstore!

We are the Indie Author Book Expo(IABE), a nonprofit empowering readers and authors to build better reading experiences together.
On May 7th our bookstore flooded. Upon seeking repairs, mold was unearthed, and for health and safety we closed our mall location on May 17th. One of a kind, our bookstore offers hard to find books, most of which can not be found anywhere else. And we consigned art and hand crafted gift items to help support all forms of small business.
Thankful to all of our sponsors, we managed $5000 to pay rent, insurance, and make small changes required to open our lost home. I. President Jenn Thompson worked 7 days a week. My only breaks were weekend mornings when my VP, Annie Ale gave up her days off from her day job, to grant me some respit. Our staff wrangler Ilana worked overtime to make merchandise for our shelves. Our long distance member, Brian Morris, worked double time promoting us and writing a book. My sweet husband even sacrificed all his vacation time to be our handyman and completed all repairs and building fixtures to make sure we could open our doors on time, and we will not let that hard work fade away.
Your contribution will go towards the deposti and other initial expsenses of starting over in a better location that will be safer for you, as well as a center for all things creative. Down but not out, IABE Books and Gifts, are calling on you to help us build a new home to empower readers and authors to build better connections and a bookish community for all.
