Join in the race to save the reef at Kahaluu Bay!

Want to join us in a fun and challenging race/walk to raise funds to help save the reef at Kahalu'u Bay? We're raising money to benefit The Kohala Center, and their Reef Teach Program's "Free Reef Safe Sunscreen" dispensers at the bay. The reef safe sunscreen is provided to all visitors and helps keep chemical sunscreen from entering the bay and stopping the spawning of the coral reef. The Reef Teach program volunteers help educate visitors to the impact toxic sunscreen has on the reefs along our shoreline.

 

Any donation will help make an impact! If you would like to join in on the race (run/walk/stroll) we start at 7 am at Keauhou Bay and end at Kailua Pier at Kailua Bay in downtown Kona. There will be 2 water tables along the 6.2 mile race. Let us know if you want to race so you can get email updates. JulieZPR at Gmail
