We, the family, would like to start by expressing our heartfelt gratitude. Thank you for taking the time to read about our beloved Jayda and to learn a little about her. This GoFundMe campaign aims to raise funds for Jayda’s continued treatment, hospital bills, personal expenses, and rent for her apartment, as she lives alone. We face a long and challenging journey ahead, and your support is crucial.

Jayda Lexus Ortiz, age 22, is an adoring, loving, feisty, beautiful, hardworking, sincere, thoughtful, thankful, caring, giving, trusting, compassionate, humble, honest, knowledgeable, joyful, strong, and intelligent young woman. She is the light in everyone’s eyes! Cardi B is not only her favorite artist, whom she adores and resembles, but also her twin in spirit—our little Cardi B! With a soft voice and infectious laughter, Jayda brings joy to everyone around her.

Tragically, Jayda was involved in a motorcycle accident in the early morning of Friday, June 21, 2024

As a passenger, she sustained life-threatening injuries when the driver lost control. Jayda now suffers from severe road rash, particularly on her backside, and has broken her left leg from the hip down, along with other injuries to her hands, arms, and various parts of her body. Our primary concern is her traumatic brain injury (TBI). She has sustained multiple injuries to her head which is priority. She is currently in a medically induced coma, on a ventilator, and has a device placed in her skull to monitor brain swelling. Her condition requires constant monitoring of her brain’s oxygen levels as well.

Jayda is a fighter, and we ask for your support during this critical time. She has worked tirelessly for everything she has, and we want to ensure she does not have to worry about rent, personal bills, hospital bills, or treatments. We ask for your donations to support Jayda’s needs. We are committed to keeping everyone updated on her health and how the donations are being utilized.
