Join Jenna in Her Fight Against Breast Cancer

My sister was always more rebellious than I growing up. She took more risks and when she decided on something she'd always follow through. I envied how strong-willed she was. How bold she was. As we grew into adulthood what I before classified as bold turned into courageous. She started a family and her strong will was used to teach her children to be well-behaved and polite. Her strong will was used to help others when she did not have much herself. Her strong will was used to take on jobs here and there to help with household finances once her two little girls were both in school.

Around the time she was pregnant with her youngest, she moved to the middle of nowhere to raise her family (Savannah now age 13, Carlee now age 9, and Caleb now age 3) with her partner of over fourteen years, Donny, and her beloved chickens. The family adored the woods of Newton Ransom, being outdoors and fishing, or hunkering down watching movies together.

No matter the means, Jenna has always found a way to care for her family even when things were tight. As any mother knows - somehow you find a way. That is until she found a lump in her breast.

On May 10, 2019, my sister, one of the toughest cookies I know, was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer at the age of 32.

Jenna started chemo May 28th. She has endured three treatments to date and expects three more followed by a double mastectomy.

After healing from surgery, she will have to endure another three to six rounds of chemo again. Once completed, the chemo is then followed by radiation every day for twenty-five days.

Needless to say, there is a long journey ahead.

Donny is Jenna's support [and ride] to all treatments. Due to this, he is missing a lot of work.

Money has become very tight this early on in the cancer journey and I am hoping people can join us in Jenna's fight.

Any funds will be used to help with uncovered medical expenses, every day expenses, bills, and upcoming school supplies such as clothing for the kids.

Non-monetary support is always welcome - feel free to reach out to me, Vanessa Palumbo.

The families (both the Hazeltons & Ofcharskys) cannot thank you enough for any contribution you can make.
