Jerry and Linda and Cody's Original Roadhouse hurricane fund

I am Dr. Tom Drabczyk from the village of Lake Denham in The Villages, Florida. I have been asked by Villages Newcomers Jerry and Linda to set up and manage a hurricane disaster relief fundraiser to support our fellow Floridians who were impacted by devastating hurricanes in 2024. This fundraiser is in partnership with Cody’s Original Roadhouse restaurants. Donations to the Florida Disaster Fund are made to the Volunteer Florida Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization (EIN# 01-0973168 (tel:01-0973168)), and are tax deductible. Per the Volunteer Florida Foundation website, funds donated at this time will be utilized for Hurricanes Helene and/or Milton.

I will also be collecting cash donations at Cody’s Original Roadhouse in Lake Sumter Landing from 12 to 2 pm on November 7. Those funds will be sent separately to The Volunteer Florida Disaster Relief Fund by cashier’s check from an account I set up for specifically for charity collection and distribution. The overall donation goal is $10,000.
